FRANKLIN, TN -- Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive’s user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has selected UL EHS Sustainability as a recipient of an SDCE Green Supply Chain Award for 2017.
The Green Supply Chain Award recognizes companies who are making green practices or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy, and who are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and supply chains. The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals.
This year’s 10th-annual awards recognize small, mid-size and large enterprises that leveraged green practices and solutions to further drive sustainable improvements in their supply chain.
UL EHS Sustainability advisory practices and the PURE™ Platform give customers greater transparency in all levels of the supply chain. Customers can see who their suppliers source from and ensure that regulations, as well as responsible and ethical practices, are followed at every level of the supply chain. More than 2,000 organizations in over 20 major industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and construction and energy, trust UL’s tools to meet their expanding needs.
“Helping companies of all sizes optimize and streamline management of their supply chains is one of our top priorities at UL EHS Sustainability. We are very proud of the work we’ve done with brands across a multitude of industries, which has enabled them to create sustainable supply chains and be recognized for the great work they do,” said Mark Ward, General Manager of UL EHS Sustainability.
“Honorees for this year’s award demonstrate that corporate social responsibility is a business imperative that transcends the company and extends throughout the supply chain, involving suppliers and customers,” says John R. Yuva, editor for Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “The number of entries only increase year over year, demonstrating how critical sustainability initiatives are within companies.”
“We congratulate this year’s honorees for their commitment to sustainability and recognize their tremendous achievements,” Yuva adds. “Our honorees serve as role models for supply chains globally to expand their CSR reach and impact.”
