Volatile Organic Compounds and Things Building Occupants Should Know Discussed in New Online Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational production about an important environmental, health and safety (EHS) topic.
Phoenix, AZ, May 28th, 2023 -- The IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video today. Their newest production discusses volatile organic compounds (VOCs), a large group of chemicals that can be found in a number of products and materials that can impact the indoor air quality (IAQ).
“VOCs can be are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane & Associates and the IAQ Video Network. “The agency also warns that concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors than outdoors. We hope this new video helps to shed some light on why it’s important to mitigate exposure to elevated levels of many of these chemical compounds.”
