The International Water Association Regional Conference on Water Reuse and Salinity Management (IWARESA) will be held in Murcia (Spain) from 11 to 15 June. The Conference will address the problem of water scarcity induced by climate change in arid and semiarid areas, the use of non-conventional water sources in agriculture and the risk of agricultural land and groundwater salinization in areas where aquifers are significantly depleted.
IWARESA 2018 will provide the benefit of learning about advancements in water reuse and salinity management in Murcia Region, a typical Mediterranean area where the salt and water stresses are the main limiting factors for a very productive and technical agriculture.
n this conference, we present two papers focused on the transmission of our extensive experience in various filtration and water treatment applications. These papers we present are entitled 'Filtering disc filtering systems of different levels of the secondary treatment of wastewater treatment plants' and 'Technical comparison of different backwash systems of disc filters of the secondary treatment of a water treatment plant '. With this participations, we seek to combine our projects results and applications expertise with the academics and researchers knowledge.
This conference bring together researchers, engineers, environmentalists, policy makers and water practitioners from academia, industry, water utilities, public authorities and administration to exchange experience and know how. Therefore, it is a great opportunity for AZUD to merge knowledge on the Water Reuse area between practice and academia and to learn better practices of water treatment applications.
