Last week, LIGNA 2015 in Hannover (Germany) underpinned its special position in the wood trade show landscape once more. Size reduction expert WEIMA looks back on five intense days of presenting new machine designs and technology to the world.
Following the motto 'From a Great Past Into a Successful Future', the anniversary of the shredding icon WL 4 has been celebrated – the single-shaft shredder is on the market successfully for more than three decades.
Visitors from all over the world were able to take an exclusive look at innovative trade show highlights such as the WL 1500 single-shaft shredder with hydraulically lowering screen basket for even faster maintenance.
But also the new TH 828 briquetting press attracted a lot of interest due to its high throughput of up to 500 kg per hour, bringing vast benefits, particularly in terms of its industrial use.
Accordingly, the summary of Jörg Töpfer, WEIMA Sales Director, is positive:
“The last five days passed by in a flash. Once again, we were capable of showing the latest achievements in shredding and briquetting technology to our wood industry customers. We were also very proud of the jubilee of our WL 4 classic shredding model. This should not be taken for granted in our fast moving times, but it also speaks for us and our effort to come up with customized size reduction solutions. LIGNA has presented itself to us at its very best. The booth was packed, with even more international visitors than last time. The excellent conditions provided a nice finish to our presence in Hannover.”
