Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D16 on Aromatic Hydrocarbons and Related Chemicals, this specifications was withdrawn in January 2012 in accordance with section 10.5.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.
1.1 This specification covers maleic anhydride.
1.2 The following applies to all specified limits in this specification: for purposes of determining conformance with this specification, an observed value or a calculated value shall be rounded off 'to the nearest unit' in the last right-hand digit used in expressing the specification limit, in accordance with the rounding-off method of Practice E 29.
