Molectra has developed a MOBILE HAULPAK-TYRE PRE-PROCESSOR UNIT (MHTPPU) for size reduction of HAULPAK TYRES. Large earthmoving and haulpak tyres are not recycled anywhere in the world as they are big, costly to transport and to process. This is an important development in the tyre recycling industry, not only because the residual 85% of the rubber/steel left over after discarding actually are becoming important commodities and excellent replacements for virgin materials. As tyres in general and in particularly large tyres are “dumped” everywhere and anywhere in the countryside they provide excellent breeding habitats for long periods of time to humanities worst scourge the MOSQUITO. Each HAULPAK tyre stored at mining sites, farms or open country has the capacity to collect and store up to 200 litres of water for decades (even if they are covered with dirt or sand).As they are in remote locations, the water is not drained from the tyres and nobody bothers to spray against these parasites. Each mosquito lays btw 600-1000 eggs in a two weeks period and without local enemies, millions of mosquitos develop and spread everywhere from each tyre. The MHTPPU can pre-process these tyres into smaller chunks so that they can’t hold water anymore and can be economically transported to tyre recycling factories.
