2-Day Practical Air Quality Modeling with AERMOD/CALPUFF (Singapore)
This 2-day course will focus on the fundamentals and applications of AERMOD, including the comparison of AERMOD with ISCST3, and provide hands-on practices on AERMOD modeling. A half-day overview of the CALPUFF modeling theories and applications is also covered. The attendees will gain in-depth understanding of applying AERMOD and CALPUFF for air quality modeling. The new generation dispersion models, including AERMOD and CALPUFF, have been adopted in the U.S. as regulatory air quality models and widely used by many other countries. These models stand for the state-of-the-science in air quality modeling and provide powerful features to simulate various modeling situations and considerations. AERMOD replaced the outdated ISCST3 as the preferred near-field dispersion model with many new and improved features. CALPUFF is the non-steady-state puff model suitable for regional air quality modeling with gridded 3-dimensional meteorological data to the fate and transport of air pollutants.

Managing Your Facility’s Carbon Footprint™ - November 7-8, 2012
This two-day course was developed to help both business and Federal agencies meet their term requirements and achieve reduction targets. The course provides insight and methodologies for performing, evaluating, and monitoring GHG inventory efforts and gives guidance on the use of Federal calculation tools where applicable. In addition to GHG inventories, the course will review the principals and methods for evaluating aspects of carbon and energy usage, including reducing water consumption intensity, advancing integrated planning, sustainable building design, sustainable acquisition, electronics stewardship, energy conservation, water conservation, and pollution prevention. This class is perfect for anyone responsible for compliance with in Executive Order (EO) 13514 which requires organizations to establish an integrated strategy towards sustainability in the Federal Government and to make reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
