ASTM Annouces Asbestos Laboratory Symposium

ASTM International has recently announced that it will gather in San Antonio Texas in January 2010 for the purpose of discussing asbestos laboratory issues. Unlike the tradtional Johnson Conference held every few years in July in Vermont, this program will focus on challenges that asbestos laboratories and analysts face.
Dedicated to the late Michael Beard, former EPA and RTI director, and long time chairmen of ASTM D22.07 (Asbestos Sampling and Analysis), this is seen as a chance for grassroots technicaians to share their expertise with each other, regulators, and stakeholders in the asbestos environmental industry.
