When catalyst is added to the media chambers of an RTO it is then referred to as an RCO. The abatement device still relies on high energy recovery to minimize auxiliary energy usage. However, the VOC compounds will oxidize at lower temperatures with the use of catalyst, further lowering the need for auxiliary energy. This is a great option for catalyst friendly compounds.
