In small concentrations, bismuth, antimony, and arsenic can produce slimes in the copper electrolyte that can help control contaminant levels. In larger concentrations, however, they can become problematic to the operation. Based on Recoflo® technology, the AsRU Arsenic Recovery Unit selectively separates and concentrates arsenic from the copper electrolyte stream in copper refining operations. The result is a purified electrolyte stream that can be reused in the process.
