Turbidity is a very important indication parameter in water: Suspended particles are offering a big surface for bacterial growth -bacteria and viruses being the “real” source of contamination! Any water from surface water, rivers and lakes, wells or reservoirs and finally drinking water are subject to turbidity monitoring and measurement. With increasing events of floods and surface water runoff, monitoring becomes even more important: With the portable turbidimeters WTW Turb 430 the highest precision and flexibility in field and in lab can be achieved from lowest range for drinking water up to higher levels after heavy rain up to 1100 NTU acc. to DIN/ISO or US EPA.
