In the early Spring through late Fall 2014, municipal water treatment plants that use surface water sources will face a concern regarding taste and odor in their finish drinking water systems. During the past several months, various species of blue green algae species has cause alarm for some Agencies. The concern with blue-green algae is the geosmin and 2-MIB.
