KBR Wins Fabrication Award for First Canadian Oil Sands Carbon Capture and Storage Project in Alberta, Canada
KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today that Shell Canada Energy has selected KBR to perform off-site modularization and pipe fabrication at their Edmonton Module Facility. This historic project will use Shell Quest Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies to reduce CO2 emissions at Shell’s Upgrader which upgrades oil originating from Shell’s Athabasca Oil Sands operations. Researchers support Berlin on its way to climate neutrality
Until the end of the year, the researchers are going to map out scenarios for the reduction of greenhouse-gas emissions in the city, aiming at a reduction of per capita emissions from roundabout six tons a year today to less than two tons a year.
