Obama readies jet biofuels for take-off with $510m investment
President Obama yesterday launched a major new $510m investment plan designed to accelerate the development of second-generation biofuels for use in military and commercial jets and ships. Obama announced that the US Departments of Agriculture, Energy and Navy would work together to invest up to $510m over the next three years to support advanced biofuel projects that use non-food stocks such as waste, timber and grasses.
