House Passes Bipartisan Coal Ash Bill
The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity today commended the U.S. House of Representatives for passing bipartisan legislation that would establish a state-based regulatory framework for management and disposal of coal ash. The legislation, the Coal Residuals Reuse and Management Act (HR 2273), creates Federally-enforceable standards that can be implemented quickly and flexibly by the states.
