Production welding facility within the Rolls Royce in Derby
 

Production welding facility within the Rolls Royce facility in Derby, UK. Instead of moving the extraction equipment outside where it would potentially have caused complaints from surrounding residential areas Rolls Royce asked for the Inteliair system to regulate fan speed in accordance with actual demand. We installed 27 automatic dampers each of which are linked to a manual switch; when the welding operator requires extraction he simply turns the switch ‘on’ which opens the control damper, the filter unit cleaning system to turn on and the main extract fan to regulate its speed. Since its installation  this area has reduced from 81dB(A) to 57dB(A).
