In 2008 when the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) was first launched, I wrote an article predicting it would form a major part of the Whitehall landscape for years to come. Sadly, that prediction is not looking quite so solid right now.
My argument, which did not appear too unreasonable at the time, was that any government that scrapped or watered down the department would have to demonstrate it had pretty much solved climate change. SAP goes global with upgraded carbon software
Business software giant SAP has this week launched an updated version of its Carbon Impact OnDemand software suite designed to make it easier for large multinationals to measure and manage their greenhouse gas emissions.
The company said that the upgraded version of the software-as-a-service package, dubbed SAP Carbon Impact OnDemand 5.0, features additional multilingual support, extending the software so that it is suitable for use in over 50 countries.
