Explained: climate sensitivity
If we double the Earth’s greenhouse gases, how much will the temperature change? That’s what this number tells you. This is the second part of an “Explained” on climate change. Despite healthcare boost, Senators admit climate bill faces possible delay
The bi-partisan trio of US Senators working to develop a compromise climate change bill capable of securing cross party support is racing against the clock to finalise the details of the bill ahead of two week break for Congress. Senators John Kerry, Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham had signaled that they wanted to deliver the bill before the recess, allowing aides to draft the legislation during the break so that the final proposal could be presented to the Senate early next month.
