Canada greenlights world`s largest CCS project
The world`s largest commercial-scale carbon capture and storage (CCS) project has been given the go-ahead in Canada. The $1.24bn project in Saskatchewan will see CCS technology constructed next to the ageing 824 MW Boundary Dam power station operated by state utility SaskPower. Construction on the project will begin immediately, and the plant should be capable of capturing around one million tonnes of CO2 every year when completed in 2014. Climate Change Risk Disclosure Shareholder Proposal Faces GE Shareholders
Officials from the National Center for Public Policy Research will present a Climate Change Risk Disclosure shareholder proposal at the GE shareholder meeting Wednesday.
