French need revolution to meet renewable energy targets
Only radical cuts to red tape and a reversal of lacklustre financial support to the French green energy sector will see France meet its 2020 renewable energy targets, an industry group has warned. France is aiming to produce 23 per cent of its energy from renewable sources by the end of the decade. However, it is set to miss this goal by more than a third, the Syndicat des Energies Renouvelables (SER), the country`s largest green energy lobby, said yesterday.
