Injury, illness rate declines significantly for waste workers
The injury and illness rate for solid waste collection workers "declined significantly" last year, according to the National Solid Wastes Management Association.  The trade group -- pointing to statistics released by the U.S. Department of Labor -- said there was more than a 21% drop in the injury and illness rate in 2009 compared to 2008 for that set of workers.
