Mold contamination forcing California tax collecting agency to move
The executive director of the California Board of Equalization has convinced state lawmakers to draft a bill that would authorize the agency to find a new place of business. The agency is currently housed in a 24-story building in Sacramento that has suffered from recurring leaks and mold contamination. Employees working day after day in buildings with high levels of mold can become sensitized. Mold can cause a host of adverse reactions to people sensitive to its exposure, including allergies.
