EPA grants $3 million to support chemical toxicity research
The US Environmental Protection Agency has awarded nearly $3 million to better understand how the liver responds to environmental toxicants. Four academic institutions will develop methods and tools to enhance what society knows about environmental contaminants and the liver, the body’s waste treatment organ.

There is no training beyond the 24-hour technician training for HazMat Specialists, but since OSHA defines them as a having a liaison function, we feel that it is important that they be trained in the same topics as the person in charge. Thus, our HAZWOPER Professional course is a 40-hour course rather than a shorter course allowed by the law.
