ISO/TS 14067 – carbon footprint of products
More consistency in the quantification and communication of carbon footprints of products is the aim of the recently released ISO/TS 14067. Land use change, soil carbon, carbon storage in products and other carbon related requirements are not specified in the existing ISO standard 14044. The specification has been released in May 2013.Especially the requirements for communication are going beyond existing standards. Maryland’s new emissions plan shows climate action is cost-effective
As impacts from climate change become more visible and costly, leaders across the nation are responding. In the wake of projections from the University of Maryland’s Center for Environmental Science showing that Maryland could face sea-level rise of more than six feet by the end of the century, Governor Martin O’Malley unveiled a state climate action plan this week.
