Task force established by President Obama releases final strategy for reversing deterioration of gulf ecosystem
The Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Task Force today released its final strategy for long term ecosystem restoration for the Gulf Coast, following extensive feedback from citizens throughout the region. EPA Administrator and Task Force Chair Lisa P. Jackson, partnering with Task Force Co-Chair Garret Graves, made the announcement today during keynote remarks at the 2011 State of the Gulf of Mexico Summit in Houston. UK ENVIRONMENT AGENCY GOES LIVE WITH NEW REGULATORY PORTAL TO MP-5...NO MORE REPORTING OF ENVIRONMENTAL DATA!
EHS Data have built a revolutionary new secure portal, which enables the sharing of environmental monitoring data by Viridor (one of the largest waste management companies in the UK) with the UK Environment Agency (EA). This has now been launched by Viridor who are calling it ‘Open Space’. It uses data from our MP-5 environmental monitoring data management system, which Viridor have used for many years. Open Space sets a new standard for regulatory reporting in line with permits, negating often onerous reporting requirements, saving money and building trust. It has been built in partnership with Viridor and the EA, and is now being scaled from three Viridor sites to 50.
