Demand for air travel must be cut, says Lord Turner
Even with improvements in fuel efficiency and the emergence of biofuels, demand for air travel will have to fall over the coming decades if the UK is to meet its target of ensuring emissions in 2050 do not exceed 2005 levels. UK signs up to North Sea supergrid vision
Nine European countries have signed a major agreement to develop the world`s first large-scale offshore wind energy grid in the North and Irish seas, providing a boost to the continent`s fast-expanding offshore wind industry.
