atech innovations gmbh develops and manufactures ceramic membranes for cross-flow microfiltration and ultrafiltration. After its foundation in the beginning of 1989 atech initially did business in Germany as a distributor of ceramic membranes produced by a third party while at the same time developing, producing and selling membrane filtration plants based on precisely this ceramic membrane technology. In 1991, atech started its own production of ceramic membranes with a view to penetrate the market with a product that was competitive to the then widely accepted organic membranes.
