World Bank moves to put price on ecosystems
The World Bank has today launched a wide-ranging programme aimed at encouraging countries to value ecosystems in the same manner as GDP.  Unveiled at that UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Nagoya, Japan, the five-year pilot programme will aim to develop mechanisms for integrating ecosystem valuation into national accounts.
