Agilent Technologies introduces small high-vacuum pump with unique floating-suspension technology
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced a high-performance turbomolecular vacuum pump, the TwisTorr 304 FS, which is the first in a new series of high-vacuum pumps featuring Agilent`s novel floating-suspension technology. This technology can be used in a variety of applications and markets, including academic and government research, and the analytical, industrial and nanotech/semiconductor industries. Sound and vibration expert Brüel & Kjær has released a new CCLD accelerometer, Type 4527, that can operate at a continuous temperature of 180°C, making it ideally suited for automotive powertrain uses.Type 4527 has wide dynamic, frequency and temperature ranges, making the transducer well-suited to general-purpose use. It has low sensitivity to electro-magnetic interference due to low output impedance and also features a very low noise floor.
