PME Develops a Conductivity Sensor for Hypersaline Lakes and Estuaries
Precision Measurement Engineering, Inc. (PME), an internationally known oceanographic and limnologic instrument design corporation has designed and developed a new conductivity sensor to be used with their T-Chain sensing string, a water column monitoring device manufactured by PME. The conductivity sensor measures conductivity using an inductive sensor technique. AC voltage is applied to a transformer core, which includes current flow in the surrounding water. This current is detected by a second transformer core. The conductivity sensor was designed for use in hypersaline lakes and ... |
