Hydraulic Fracturing Companies Using Oil Skimmers to Clean Flowback
Hydraulic fracturing (fracking) is a process that recovers natural gas and oil from deep shale formations that contain large amounts of the fuels. Fracking requires the drilling of a well vertically underground, past the deepest aquifer containing fresh groundwater. Steel surface casing is inserted down the well and cement is pumped in to create a barrier between the well bore and groundwater. Grants Provide Opportunities for Remediation Professionals Working on Brownfields
Recently, the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development awarded two grants to cleanup Brownfields in the state. They included funds for a location in Seymour and another in Shelton that are a part of the $16 million in funds slated for Brownfields recently announced by Connecticut Governor Malloy’s office.
