Miramar treatment plant achieves highest level of performance
The City of San Diego’s Miramar Water Treatment Plant has received the prestigious Phase IV "Presidents Award" recognition from the Partnership for Safe Water. The Partnership program is an initiative developed by the USEPA, AWWA, and other water organizations representing water suppliers working to provide their communities with drinking water quality that surpasses the required federal standards, through treatment plant and distribution system optimization. Fluid Dynamics International Ltd-US School District Eliminates Anti Scaling Chemicals for Hard Water Treatment
Walker Station was struggling with heavy scaling issues in their HVAC cooling tower / chiller system despite the use of scale prevention chemicals.  The system was so heavily scaled and corroded that following a system assessment it was determined that replacement of the system would be more economical than repair. Non Chemical solution chosen As chemical dosing had failed previously to protect their equipment from the damaging effects of scale, Fluid Dynamics were called in to provide a chemical free environmentally friendly alternative by an engineering contractor familiar with their successful scale prevention technology.
