Drinking water regulations prompt deployment of decentralized water and wastewater treatment plants
Decentralized water and wastewater treatment are precisely engineered onsite treatment systems used for treating small amounts of water and wastewater at affordable prices. As these systems serve individual houses, clustered dwellings, and closely located commercial outlets, the issue of piping costs is moot. Decentralized systems are produced using locally available materials, are easy to set up and operate, and do not require complex engineering knowledge. AWWA announces webcast on water loss management
The American Water Works Association (AWWA) announced today that it will host a webcast on utility water loss management strategies on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. EDT. This webcast will focus on the water audit method developed by AWWA and the International Water Association. How to implement ILI metrics to evaluate water loss trends will also be included, along with case studies that demonstrate the application of acoustic and automated leak detection systems.
