Tetra Tech wins US$69m in sustainable water projects with USAID
Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTEK) announced that it has been awarded two new task orders to lead sustainable water projects in rural Afghanistan and sub-Saharan Africa. The task orders will be executed under a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Water IQC II contract held by ARD, Inc., a Tetra Tech company. The combined ceiling values of these two task orders, including option years, is more than $69 million. EC takes UK to Court over wastewater collection systems
The European Commission has decided to take the United Kingdom to the European Court of Justice on the grounds that urban waste water collecting systems and treatment facilities in London and Whitburn in north east England do not comply with EU legislation. European Environment Commissioner Stavros Dimas said: ` More attention needs to be paid to upgrading collecting systems to ensure full compliance with EU legislation on waste water treatment.
