FEP tubing has been the material of choice in groundwater and environmental monitoring for many decades. The clarity of FEP and its superior mechanical properties and resistance to corrosive attack contribute to its repeated long term use for groundwater monitoring and analysis. It is the preferred material for the transport of fluids, including ultrapure or chemically aggressive ones, due to its inertness to most known chemicals. These include both organic and inorganic chemicals, ultrapure fluids or sample measurements at a wide range of temperatures, down to cryogenic temperatures. This material meets FDA and USP Class VI standards.
