Landfill leachate treatment is challenging due to high COD, low biodegradability, and toxic elements like Ammonia, Heavy Metals, and Boron. Chemical-physical methods are ineffective, and conventional biological plants can't handle these imbalances, leading to high disposal costs. Electrocoagulation offers a solution, reducing critical parameters and making leachates suitable for biological treatment. Numerous case studies show it as a technically valid and positively received solution.
