Agri-Therm - Model III (6110 L) - Handheld Infrared Temperature Sensor
The Agri-Therm III™ is a non-contact, handheld infrared thermometer that is used to measure the surface of targets in the natural environment. It measures temperatures from -40°C to 100°C with ±0.25°C Accuracy from 0°C to 50°C and ±0.5°C Accuracy from-40°C toO°Cor50°C to 100°C. The Agri-Therm III™ features the SKY-SPY™ System which corrects errors caused by radiation to the sky (U.S. Patent No. 4,420,265). This feature triples the accuracy of outdoor temperature measurements.
This model has an optical configuration of robust aerospace-quality, double coated Zinc Selenide lenses per Military Specification MIL-C-13508. It measures in the spectral pass band of 8 < Wavelengths < 14 Microns. The field of view is variable from 4° to 20° with Vario-Zooom™ Field-Variable-Focus (U.S.Patent No. 7,355,178).
The response time of the instruments is less than 1 second. Emissivity is settable from 10% to 99% on rear panel. Rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries provide the power source. The instrument can be continuously used for 10 hours on a full battery charge.
The standard output signal is analog millivolt (-400mV to lOOOmV at lO.OmV/ °C). The Agri-Therm III™ measures surface temperature, ambient dry bulb temperature and temperature differential (U.S. Patent No. 4,301,682).
