The 61202 barometric pressure sensor is a versatile electronic barometer featuring high accuracy, low power and wide operating temperature range.

The 61202V Barometric Pressure Sensor is a versatile electronic barometer featuring high accuracy, low power, wide operating temperature range, and calibrated outputs in several formats. Low power consumption and wide temperature range make the 61202 ideal for remote applications using battery or solar power. All models include full duplex RS232 and half duplex RS 485 serial connections. Additionally there is an voltage output 5V/DC.

The standard pressure scale for analogue output spans 600 hPa to 1100 hPa. A narrower range can be selected via software menu. Serial outputs run in continuous or polled mode, a network of 32 sensors may be individually addressed.

When installed outdoors, we recommend using the barometer with a Pressure Port to minimize pressure errors caused by wind flow over the barometer inlet.

  • The Barometric Air Pressure Sensor an be operated in switched-mode. This means, it is switchedon only during measuring cycles for 5 seconds. That method reduces the total power consumption extremely. i.g. Power consumption for a one years operation with 15 minutes sample rate: 5 * 4 * 24 * 365 * 10/(3600 * 1000) < 0.5Ah
  • That results in the above example in an average supply current of 0.06 mA


  • Normally the sensor is installed inside the station enclosure and therefore no special cable is necessary to connect the sensor to the Gealog measuring interface.
