ANY-WEIGH - Bench Scales
From Scales
Hardy's ANY-WEIGH Bench Scales can be used for general check weighing or filling applications, placed under a feeder for loss-in-weight rate control, or for general Quality Assurance (QA) laboratory work. ANY-WEIGH Bench Scales are resistant to moisture with a stainless steel top, powder coated steel base, and conformal-coated internal circuitry. However, they are not intended for immersion in liquids or severe wash-down applications.
Sizes/Capacities

Scale capacities: 33, 66, 130 lbs (15, 30, 60 kg)
Scale size: 24 inch by 24 inch (600mm x 600mm)
Scale capacities: 130, 330, 660, 1,300 lbs (60, 150, 300, 590 kg)
Types
All sizes and capacities are available in four different types:
1) Universal Scale HI SBU Series
This is a standard strain gauge based bench scale for use with any strain gauge based weighing instrument or controller. It comes with a 15-foot 6-conductor cable for interfacing with an instrument. It has C2 electronic calibration capabilities built-in. This series replaces the HIPS Series of platform scales.
Model numbers are:
- HI 1212SBU-33 (66 or130)
- HI 2424SBU-130 (330, 660 OR 1,300)
2) DeviceNet Scale HI SBD Series
This version come with a built-in DeviceNet interface so you can use this scale to provide a weight output to any point on the DeviceNet Network. It provides 20-bit resolution with a selectable conversion rate of 10 or 55 updates per second. It comes from the factory pre-calibrated and pre-wired with a DeviceNet micro C connector for easy installation to a network. Just set in an address (dip switch on bottom), connect to your network, configure and it is up and running. Power is provided from the DeviceNet network. The ANY-WEIGH outputs Gross, Net and Tare weight values and accepts inputs for zero and tare. Need to recalibrate? One push of 'THE BUTTON' automatically recalibrates the scale. The HI SBD series also supports C2 electronic calibration over its DeviceNet interface. Vibration on the scale is no problem with its built-in WAVERSAVER technology. The HI SDB Series is a referenced Global product in Rockwell's (Allen-Bradley) Encompass partnering program.
Model numbers are:
- HI 1212SBD-33 (66 or130)
- HI 2424SBD-130 (330, 660 OR 1,300)
3) Analog Scale HI SBA Series
This version comes with a built-in strain gauge transmitter providing a 4-20mA output proportional to the weight reading directly to a control system. The HI SBA comes with a 15-foot two wire shielded cable which carries DC power to the scale and the weight signal from it. The scale comes pre-wired and pre-calibrated from the factory but provides potentiometers for coarse and fine zero adjustment as well as span. It does not have C2 or WAVERSAVER capabilities.
- HI 1212SBA-33 (66 or130)
- HI 2424SBA-130 (330, 660 OR 1,300)
4) Analog Hazardous Scale HI SBAFM Series
This version comes with a built-in strain gauge transmitter providing a 4-20mA output proportional to the weight reading directly to a control system. These scales are Intrinsically safe* for use in Class I, II, Div 1, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F and G, T4. The HI SBAFM comes with a 15-foot two wire shielded cable which carries DC power to the scale and the weight signal from it. The scale comes pre-wired and pre-calibrated from the factory but provides potentiometers for coarse and fine zero adjustment as well as span. It does not have C2 or WAVERSAVER capabilities.
Model numbers are:
- HI 1212SBAFM-33 (66 or130)
- HI 2424SBAFM-130 (330, 660 OR 1,300)

The ANY-WEIGH Bench scales provide complete flexibility in size and capacity for use in a wide range of weighing applications. With their rugged construction and stainless steel tops, ANY-WEIGH Scales are a great fit for both laboratory and industrial installations.
The ANY-WEIGH line of bench scales can be configured with standard interfacing to a weight instrument or with a built-in, direct connection to a PLC, PAC, DCS or PC.
C2 Electronic Calibration
With a push of a button in a Hardy Controller, C2 enables a fast, accurate, electronic calibration without test weights. The C2 system reduces downtime for installation or repairs and eliminates test weight related injuries.
Universal Scale (HI SBU Series)
Directly attach the scale's 15-foot cable to any weighing instrument or controller. If interfacing with a Hardy Controller, you can take full advantage of WAVERSAVER, and C2 Electronic Calibration.
Analog Scale (HI SBA Series)
Use the Analog output scale to provide a 4-20mA output directly proportional to the weight reading. This version offers a low-cost,e ffective solution for bringing an analog weight reading directly into a control system, with minimal additional wiring or hardware, and comes with a 15-foot two-wire shielded cable. The scale comes pre-calibrated from the factory but provides potentiometers for coarse and fine zero adjustment as well as span.
Devicenet Scale (HI SBD Series)
With its built-in DeviceNet interface you can use this scale to provide a weight output to any point on a DeviceNet Network. This version also incorporates both the WAVERSAVER and C2 technologies, and comes with a six-inch pig-tailed connector.
Just set an address, connect to your network, configure and you're up and running. The scale features outputs for Gross,Net and Tare weight values and inputs for Zero and Tare commands. A Command interface provides easy access to all parameters without the need for explicit messages.
Need to recalibrate? One push of “THE BUTTON” automatically recalibrates the scale. The scale also supports C2 electronic calibration over its DeviceNet interface. WAVERSAVER eliminates the effects of vibration on the scale resulting in a clean accurate weight signal being transmitted over DeviceNet. The scale provides 20-bit resolution with a selectable conversion rate choice of 10 or 55 updates per second.
Analog Hazardous Scale (HI SBAFM Series)
The HI SBAFM Series of bench scales come with a built-in strain gauge transmitter providing a 4-20mA output proportional to the weight reading directly to a control system. These scales are Intrinsically safe for use in Class I, II, Div 1, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F and G, T4.
