Aptra Elements is a polypropylene metalized highly reflective 99.97% breathable film/laminate. Aptra Elements is the first durable metalized microporous film that has high reflectivity (~99.97%) and low emissivity (0.03%) but yet is more durable against oxidation and rub-off than traditional metalized films. This film combines the best of all worlds, becoming a reflective, breathable, impervious laminate.

  • Unique processing by biaxial orientation yields very balanced properties
  • MVTR 5,000 g/m2/24 hrs by ASTM E96 Method E minimum (Can achieve much higher values with different testing methods)
  • Can be in direct contact with Tier 1 surface without scratching, marring, or clouding
  • 99.94% one way heat reflective
  • .06% heat emissivity
  • Durable against oxidation and rub off
  • No change in breathability even with the metallization
