Aquatech HEVAP - High Efficiency Evaporation Process
Aquatech’s Experience Leads to Increasing Reliability in Zero Liquid Discharge Systems (ZLD). Reliability is key for ZLD operations. Aquatech’s deep experience in designing ZLD plants has led to the development of our patented HEVAP™ technology, which allows evaporators to be more efficient, with less downtime and longer runs in between evaporator cleanings. No mechanical cleaning required, higher recoveries, more availability than a conventional evaporator – up to 100%.
HEVAP is a patented high efficiency evaporation process for the Oil Sands SAGD water treatment. More and more oil producers in Alberta are choosing to go with evaporation technology as the water treaent solution for their thermal SAGD (steam assisted gravity drainage) process due to the following benefits: Higher water recovery rates (lower make-up / reduced blow down), Improvement from 80% to > 98%. Smaller Footprint; Reduces water treaent / steam generation footprint by 50%; Highly Modularized. Easier Operability (no clarifiers / solids handling); Conventional treaent has high maintenance requirements and is challenging.
The processes currently in the market addresses the above issues however fall short on managing evaporator scaling. This makes the evaporation process as the bottleneck in “maximizing” the performance of the Oil Formations.
