The Atoll reverse osmosis systems are designed for refining water at home and its further use for drinking, cooking, and other purposes. This assumes that the preliminary purification of water by the municipal services or systems such as Ecowater (outside of municipal water supplies) and its chemical and bacteriological composition are within the range defined by the State Standard. The Atoll reverse osmosis systems remove up to 99.9% of all impurities contained in water and prevent the buildup of limescale in heating appliances. At the same time, while passing the filter, the water is enriched with oxygen which also gives it a nice fresh taste. Reverse osmosis, the purification method applied in such systems, does not require the use of chemicals and is fulfilled as a result of the water passing under pressure through a special membrane. The most common place to install a reverse osmosis filtration system is under the kitchen sink.
When buying an Atoll filter it is advised to choose a product to match your expected levels of water consumption with performance determined by the system's main filtering element - the membrane. Provided that you use certified replacement filtering elements, the quality of water purification by different models of reverse osmosis filters remains the same.
The Atoll reverse osmosis systems are manufactured in Russia (in accordance with technical specifications ТУ 3697-002-58968054-2006) and the USA (NSF/ANSI Standard 058). Filters made in Russia have the “E” index appended to the end of their code. The systems have identical characteristics and parts irrespective of the manufacturer country.
