Belt filter presses are primarily used for sludge dewatering prior to drying or disposal. They are a continuously operating machine which dewater sludge by pressing it between two Porous filter belts. Typically, a belt filter press receives a slurry ranging from 1-5% feed solids and produces a final product of 12-35% cake solids. Performance depends on the nature of the solids being processed and design.
