C. F. Nielsen - Industrial Briquetting Plant 2800-3600 kg/hour
For production of Ø75 or Ø90 mm industrial briquettes from softwood or hardwood waste, based on the following requirements... Particle size has to be less than 20x5x3 mm, otherwise a grinding process has to be introduced. A hammer mill with 10-15 mm screen size will normally give the requested particle size. Moisture content of the raw material should be in the range 6 – 16%, otherwise a drying process has to be introduced. Raw material must be suitable for briquetting, or tested if there is any doubt.
We are ready to perform a test briquetting based on you supplying us actual dry raw material, with correct particle size and moisture content.
For the actual capacity range you will need two of the following presses: BP 5510 (max 1400 kg/hour each) or BP 6010 mechanical presses.
Storage silo and dosing system for the raw material
Normally we can combine our system with your existing or planned storage solution, whether this is a large silo, a bunker or similar. The press may be connected to one of our 6-12 m3 buffer silos, with discharge system and two frequency controlled dosing screws for feeding sufficient amount of raw material to the presses. A level switch in the silo will send a signal to the conveyor when refilling of the buffer silo, from your storage silo, is required. A relevant alternative is to install the two presses, under a deck in a large 100-400 m3 or larger, silo with automatic discharge system.
Briquetting Control System
All vital functions of the press are controlled by the operator friendly BBCS Control System, that includes a Siemens PLC. This system is capable of keeping a constant, max load on the press, even with fluctuating density of the raw material.
Transportation and storage of the briquettes
The briquettes are produced in a continuous string and, by the force of the press, conveyed to the storage facility via 15-50 m long cooling lines. Curved cooling lines are available with a radius of 1.5 or 3 m. Cooling lines have to be covered for outdoor installation. Industrial briquettes are normally just allowed to drop down, in the warehouse or container, at the end of the cooling line.
Industrial briquettes or pucks?
However, some customers prefer to insert a Puckmaker or divider at the end of the cooling line, in order to get short pucks with a length of 10-30 mm, which makes them extremely suitable for small and medium size, industrial boilers.
Loading of container or warehouse.
The U-shaped guide system, installed under the ceiling of the building or over the container, will automatically make sure the warehouse or container is filled up from one end to the other. We also offer a solution for filling the briquettes in big-bags.
Utilization of industrial briquettes:
Industrial briquettes are carbon neutral, no fossil fuel, which is suitable for burning
in industrial boilers at district heating plants or power plants etc.
The press may be placed separately in an existing building or under a deck in a large
storage silo and feed via an integrated discharge system.
