The CDS Model 6150 Pyroprobe is the basic model of CDS's 6th generation Pyroprobe. The 6150 connects to any model GC with a heated sample line for easy on/off installation. Low thermal mass programmable interface allows for thermal desorption of volatiles before pyrolyzing the sample.

The CDS resistive heating coil is the most versatile way to pyrolyze your sample with the lowest thermal mass and quickest temperature ramp up rate.
User-Friendly Touch Screen Interface
The CDS 6150 Pyroprobe has the industry leading user interface through a high resolution 4.5' touch screen.
Up to 10 Temperature Profiles Per Sample
The 6150 Pyroprobe is guaranteed to pyrolyze with the highest reproducibility within 2%, and allows the widest range of programming temperatures when compared to other pyrolyzer techniques.
Evolved Gas Analysis Supported
The 6150 Pyrolyzer allow users to program the heating rate to send evolved compounds directly to the MS through a fused silica column as a fast screening method, or to study thermal decomposition of materials.
Newly Designed Oven with High Temperature Valve
The newly designed valve oven guarantees the sample path is evenly heated without cold spots. A heating temperature of 350 °C assures minimal carry over.
Windows 10 Compatible Software
The 6th generation CDS Pyroprobe has completely redesigned software for modern PC systems. It is also backward compatible with Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Built-In Leak Check
This feature allows you to carry out pyrolysis studies with peace of mind. The self diagnosis capabilities can identify the leaking zones when attempting to trouble shoot the system.
Remote GC Start
The newly designed GC remote start board is capable to handle all GC start signals from any GC system in the world, including the newly released Agilent 7890 and Thermo 1310.
Easy Maintenance
The 6150 is designed with quick access panels for easy diagnosis and quick exchange of parts to minimize instrument downtime.

Optional DISC System
The 6150 is compatible with the revolutionary Drop In Sample Chamber (DISC) sample loading system. This system makes the loading of pyrolysis tubes a quick and trouble-free operation.
Versatile Accesories
The 6150 comes with a Multi-Purpose Rail Mount (MPRM) to allow easy mounting of optional accessory modules, such as the Autosampler, Test Tube Desorber, DISC System etc.
Powerfull Library
The CDS library has 500+ industry standard polymers and 500+ polymer additives. This powerful library helps to address the need to identify unknown compounds from pyrolysis.
