The Cerex FT5000C and FT5000CRM are multi-gas FTIR analyzers suitable for continuous emissions monitoring, process monitoring, RATA, Quad J and Quad Z compliance monitoring, and ambient air monitoring applications.

Features a wall mount NEMA enclosure and thermo-electric air conditioning for outdoor or indoor operation. Optional hazardous location hardware allows operation in Class 1 Division 2 Groups A-D areas.

Features a rack mount, air cooled enclosure suitable for installation in temperature controlled cabinets, mobile laboratories, laboratory benchtops and intermittent portable stack testing.

All models are available with heated sample cells and heated sample tube controllers for Hot and Wet operation.

The FT5000C presents a high performance, cost effective multi-gas analyzer solution for extractive Continuous Emissions Monitoring, extractive Process Monitoring and point Ambient Air Monitoring applications. For all configurations of the FT5000C target gas species are chosen from Cerex’s library of compounds and are measured within a sample cell. Dynamic ranges are engineered for each application. The FT5000C is available with three detector options based on the monitoring requirements.

  • Cryocooled MCT Detector: Offers PPB level monitoring of the widest possible range of gases.
  • TE Cooled MCT: Offers PPM level detections of common combustion gases.
  • DTGS Detector: Offers high PPM to percent level measurements of common combustion gases.

For Continuous Emissions Monitoring requiring hot, wet extractive measurement the FT5000C is integrated using standard heated sample extraction hardware.

For cold, dry monitoring the FT5000C may be installed downstream of a sample conditioning system.

The FT5000C is designed for fully autonomous continuous operation. Inherent calibration and automated quality assurance eliminate the need for labor intensive routine calibration. Data collected is independent of calibration and concentrations of measured gases may be verified at any time in the future. Quality assurance audits require only small quantities of primary standard gas and are fully automated.

The standard FT5000C is equipped with a Cryocooled MCT detector to offer exceptional PPB level sensitivity and diversity of detectable gas species equivalent to a liquid nitrogen cooled MCT FTIR, but without the need to purchase and manage a liquid nitrogen delivery system. Only three consumable items: Sample filters, IR source and cryocooler compressor. Typical maintenance includes replacement of the IR source and cryocooler compressor every three years. The cryocooler is field replaceable in minutes using a spare detector module assembly, as is the IR source. Sample filters are replaced based on sample stream particulate load.

FT5000C models equipped with DTGS or TE cooled MCT detectors allow PPM to Percent level concentration measurements of criteria gases without any routine detector maintenance. Only two consumable items: Sample filters and the IR source. Both are field serviceable.

MODBUS TCP/IP and VNC via Ethernet are standard communication and remote control protocols, allowing direct integration with factory control systems as well as real time remote access to the analyzer interface. When installed with network access, alarms may be emailed directly to key personnel. A variety of optional data outputs are available upon request: Modbus RTU, RS-232, RS-485, and analog.

The FT5000C is available with optional multiplexing hardware to allow sequential sampling of up to six remote sample points or gas streams.
