- Reliable SCR Systems for Marine Vessels

Marine engines in vessels with keel-laying dates on or after January 1, 2016, must comply with specified nitrogen oxide emission limits in ECA zones under the new IMO Tier III rules. Based on current technology, the easiest way to achieve this is using an SCR exhaust gas purification system.

It consists of:
  • SCR catalysts
  • Dosing system for the reactant
  • Control system
Depending on the sulfur content in the fuel, the size and construction of the exhaust abatement system varies. 

The clean4marine DeNOx System is particularly suitable for engines using Heavy Fuel Oil. As opposed to other systems on the market, it produces significantly less SO3. With a high sulphur content this will result in visible blue exhaust smoke. At the same time undesirable deposits on downstream heat exchangers due to high SO3 content can also be avoided. 

For vessels using Marine Diesel we now have our new 'clean4marine' system available. It is a very compact system, low in weight and ideal where space is limited.
