Model DIN EN ISO 14644 - Vacuum and Overpressure Isolators
Vacuum and overpressure isolators for occupational safety and product protection. When working with oxygen-sensitive substances or with solvents it is possible to program the operating mode “Inert”. To do so, the system is started in the standard mode and then switched over to the Inert mode. The interior of the isolator is flushed with inert gas. The isolator regulates to the preset vacuum in the same way as in the standard mode. At the same time, the monitoring of the inert gas passage and of the O2 content in the exhaust air is switched on.

Isolator inertization equipment

Isolator cleaning systems (Hand shower, CIP nozzles)
It is possible to build-in WIP nozzles (spray balls) and/or a hand shower to clean the whole isolator or certain parts of it.
Isolator double lid ports (RTP)
This so-called Rapid-Transfer Port is appropriate to pass materials and waste in and out through a lock (for contaminated working chambers). A Beta container is docked at the bottom or at the side of the working chamber (Alpha port) and the interior door can be opened.
Isolator interlock ports
The exterior and interior doors are made of frameless 10 mm toughened safety glass panes and are electrically interlocked. In case of a power failure it is possible to open the exterior door with an emergency unlocking system. In order to open the doors trigger push buttons (green) are installed inside and outside at the side of each door.
The interlock ports can be designed as passive or active locks with about 80-fold air exchange.
Integration of additional devices (drying cabinets, mixers, pressure filters, washing machines, centrifuges, etc.)
Isolator including vacuum drying cabinet
This vacuum drying cabinet is used for turbulence-free drying of active substances such as wet granulates in the pharmaceutical field and was integrated in the rear wall of the working chamber in a space-saving way.
Isolator including tablet coater
This is an isolator housing which is connected with a tablet coater via 4 spigots. A docking initiator is monitoring the complete docking of the isolator to the coater for 2 spigots. If the coater is correctly docked to the isolator the dynamic seal is blown up which tightly seals the whole system. In the RTP lock on the right packages including the material to be processed are passed into the so-called rinsing sluice. They are weight on an integrated scale. Then they are forwarded to the working chamber. There they are passed into the tablet coater, coated with suspension and emptied out.
Including sterilization unit (H2O2) for sterile isolators
A hydrogen peroxide generator is provided for sterilizing which is activated via the controller of the isolator when the corresponding decontamination program is selected. The exhaust air is filtered with two H14 filters and discharged into the exhaust air system provided by the customer. Optionally an exhaust air catalyst can be provided in order that the exhaust air concentration falls below the limit of 0.5 ppm.
All systems can be designed and built as EX-proof type. At this, all relevant installed devices and components are of EX-proof type. Thus it is possible to provide gas ex-proof types up to zone 1 and dust ex-proof types up to zone 21.
