Drumtec is a rotating drum screen built for heavy pretreatment applications such as draining, mud thickening, and sandy or industrial water treatment. This product is highly recommended for membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment plants. In more technical details, this is an Internally Fed Rotary Drum Screen with a pinion and rack driving system that will provide reliability while requiring minimal maintenance and operation.

Drumtec is an internally fed rotary drum screen. Waste-water flows into the drum. The deflector will divide the flow evenly. Whereas the influent water goes through the perforated plate, the retained screenings are conveyed by a large flight auger to the end of the drum. Debris will then carry over in an integrated washer/compactor or directly into a dumpster.

1. Simply Driven
The gearmotor drives the motion of the drum thanks to a pinion & rack system. Made of HDPE (High Density Polyethytylene) this free of chain mechanism does not require any maintenance.

Oversized trunnions will support the drum and concourse to its rotation.

2. High Capture Rate
As the drum is fed internally, Drumtec catches all sorts of debris such as rocks, grits, organics, wipes, rags, fibers…The perforated plate provides a high capture rate. As low as 800 microns the drum is a great solution for fine screening, specifically whith a MBR system.

3. Easy & Safe Access
For an easy and safe access, the cover can be opened by using the lift handle on each side of the drum. Covers are setup on hydraulic verrin, so that 1 operator can proceed to the operation. A safety switch will automatically stop the drum.

4. Integrated Bypass
An integrated bypass can be provided. A sensor will stop the drum and the overflow will go to a tank containing a manual rack.

5. Minimal & Easy Maintenance
Spray bars will assure the cleaning of the drum. The weekly maintenance will then consist of visual checking of the drum and the spray bar nozzles. Nozzles are easily removables for cleaning or replacement.

6. All in one solution
For a complete treatment of the screenings, a washer compactor can be integrated directly at the discharge chute of the drum screen.
