EWS - Model FS6000 - Sterilizes Effluent Biological Waste System
The FS6000 system sterilizes effluent biological waste without the need to filter out small-suspended solid particles. EWS was awarded a contract by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to design, build and install an Effluent Decontamination System (EDS) for the National Plant Germplasm Quarantine Center in Maryland.
The FS6000 is a batch process that utilizes redundant heat sources to meet the USDA’s required parameters for sterilization of all effluents from the facility. The effluent is heated and held for the required time prior to discharge to the sanitary sewer. The system requires only an electrical supply, a cold water supply and a sanitary sewer connection to operate. No steam is required.
A single FS6000 can process over 10,000 gallons per day. The system can be configured to meet the specific client needs, including scaling the tank size or combining several units in tandem for complete redundancy.
